When he contacts you..Tell him "Thanks but no thanks..."..If he persist's..Go to the police...You can either sit in a corner an lick your wounds or grab life by the scuff...shake yourself down and move on..(probably easier said than done..but you've no other viable choices)
As for the trust bit..if you want the realtionship to work. You've no choice but to trust. In little doses at the start..

The thing that i find really hard is to think that somehow i failed although I know full well that you can not be held responsible for a person that is a alchoholic, cheater, and lies more then telling the truth. Then turns around and blames you for it all.Is really abusive and nasty. I am affraid that the next person that comes into my life I will give less too because of I allowed some really messed up person to make me affraid of getting hurt and not trusting anyone.

You can't blame yourself for anyone elses actions..(you can if you want..but it wont do you any good)...And when Mr right comes along you'll let him bit by bit dismantle the barriers your putting up....(reminds me of someone...)

What I want to know is how do you get back to the real world and start dating again without thinking the next one will turn out to be real messed up too. How do you trust again after you were cheated on and messed up on a deep level.
