I simply responded to your opening post. No sides were taken. I do not know the other person.
But later, it appears that somehow Charlie got involved ... and the poor man got hung from the rafters?! I think maybe you two just got crossed-lines and misunderstandings from how he writes ...? Personally I would rate his humour, on a 1 to 10 scale, at about 3. BUT for intelligence he is rated at about 9. Ten would be too high for him .. only I am a 10! Actualy I am more than a ten, but I try to not act TOO intelligent.
Something else with forums .......and meeting people .... NEVER disclose your actual private life here. Yes, it is good to find opinions, but keep the details private.

The nice thing about this forum is that we are used to chatting with people from different countries and on the whole respect each other´s views. Many of us are well travelled too and have chosen to live in other countries.
We also feel that we can give advice, whether it´s accepted in the way it was intended or not, because we care about the people here.

I think I know what you're trying to say. Protecting your good name and reputation is very important to some people, and we all do it in different ways. Something written online on these forums stays forever, or until the site crashes
However, assuming the site such as CS remains, I can understand you might want to post a comment in your defence. Then do that, but keep it simple. Ask the person to refrain from making such comments and leave it alone. Continuing this to-ing and fro-ing of you said, she said comemnts, in public is not really not a good idea. It often gets out of hand and can b ecome ugly. No what you or others want to have happen.
