Was thinking (as you do ... well I do intermittently)I know how I perceive people to be in my own head from the forums and I like to think I'm a fairly good judge. But how did/does everyone else find it when they met others for the first time?

Did the people match your expectations...physically and in personality dunno

Just me being nosey again roll eyes

I've only been to a couple of meets. The people I met were more or less as I expected them to be.

I've had one thing said to me a couple of times at the meets but it was not about my personality. People are surprised at my height!!!

People are astonished by my boyish good looks, magnetic personality and total lack of self honesty!laugh

The meets make people more human to me so if I can tell if someone is just having a laugh with me or having a dig at me! You know how the forums often don't transmit the humour!hug

Well that a very good question from my point of view becaue I have watched the forums and have built up an impression of people in my own head but up until today declined to comment until I met some of ye and I had that pleasure for the first time last night, you do get to form some perception of a personality and sence of humour reading the posts, how ever i think meeting anyone for the first time is daunting for anyone and that works both ways whether it is your first meet or the first time meeting anyone. people can be a bit apprehensive on how to approach a person i know I was last night, but on my arrival i was made feel at ease straight away, i did'nt get arount to meeting every one last night but god willing the next time will be that bit easier. blushing

yeah i would be the same.. my first meet was a small one in the vat house and everyone that attended that looked the way imagined and personality wise pretty much the same.. other bigger meets ive been to there was one or two that shocked me be it they weren't as outspoken or mouthy as they were online.. or others who looked far better than their pics but in general i wouldn't have anything bad to say plus i try not to perceive people by the way they act online as what you see in people especially online is what they chose to show you... dancing
