Growing up I have been taught that if a person can claim he or she has 5 REAL friends in this world - that they are blessed. I am 47 years old and to this day I can only claim I have two REAL true blue friends. I am not talking about acquaintences here, or people you may think are your friends. I am talking about a REAL friend. Someone who stands beside you through thick and thin. Someone who really cares. Someone who sticks closer to you than a brother. How many REAL friends can YOU say that YOU have?
Actually I can say that I am lucky...I have several that we have been though thick and thin together ---for a many years.......These are people that I KNOW are my friends...I never have to wonder.......and they are awesome!!!!!!
I also have several, Ive known them since we were all teenagers and we've beenthru the best and worst of eac others lives together. Thick and think as you put it. Im always there for them, theyre always there for them, for any reason, anytime even if its 3am, doesnt matter..Guess Im a pretty lucky girl in the friends department.
I have one who lives in the UK so we are separated by miles but it hasn't changed the way we feel about each other. She's visiting me here in Spain next month so I'm very excited. I have also made a good Spanish girlfriend recently but I just know that it will be a longlasting friendship.
I have been very Blessed with friends, most of them I have had since the age of 4 and although we do not see much of each other these days due to each getting on with their own lives, if ever I needed them I just pick up the phone and they are all around, sure isn't that what friends are for,
I have now made many new friends here on the site, some of who are friends and then I have met a very special friend with who I hope to know in 20 years time and still say your'e my best friend. So if she reads this she will know who this kiss is for,
I definitely count my blessings on this one.... I have known most of my true friends for more than 15 years - two of which since I was 10 years old - and all of which are close friends with eachother.
I have 2 "girl" friends who are always there when I need them and I am there for them. There is one "guy" friend who is just as close. But he and his family live in Conneticut so I don't get a chance to see him as often. If you are allowed to count family, my 3 sisters and my son would all walk through fire for me. I feel I am extremely lucky in the friend category.
Well...It really makes you stop and think WHO your real friends are! I have come up with two: John and John (yes, they are two different people) I met them both the first day of school (age 15) dated one for 7 years and Performed the wedding ceremony for the other just last year! We still hang out weekly, One is on my pit crew for racing, but Both of them are awesome guys to hang out with!!
I have many that are friends, however there are only 3 that I trust completely, and with my life. Those are the same that can walk through my front door without knocking and have weapons free without getting drawn down on.
