ah...what a mess.

most of you know that my uncle passed away last week, and my mother moved the funeral to monday so that my holiday in canada would not have to be cut short, as my plane home was for sunday night. grrr....

i got to toronto a bit later than i should, and darryl...being darryl...was teasing me about missing my flight and it being canceled...i should have taken that as foreshadowing.

as we were preparing for take-off, the plane parked to the side of the runway...and they came on saying that there were showers in chicago, and that we were being delayed because of it. two hours later, we took off.

in chicago, i was to wait for two hours and then fly out...but an hour and a half late...they canceled the flight due to no first mate...and then sent us to a hotel across town that was NOT catered to by a shuttle, and refused to pay for my cab-fare, nor let me stay in the terminal. my new flight was 24 hours later.

so i missed the funeral. and...had to spend seven hours in the terminal today.

but...i'm whole.

Lori:

I am sorry for the loss in your family and the struggle with flights mishaps.

However, I am really glad that you met Darryl and feel that strong connection. Your cs friends always want your happiness.

Glad you are safe.

Rest up.............

Lori, I'm so happy for you and to hear that your trip went so well. I'm sorry to hear the journey back wasn't what it should have been, but maybe the powers that be intervened for a reason unbeknownst to you at the moment.

You seemed very happy when you were there, the excitement and happiness seemed to jump out of the posts you did while you were there. I can't wait to see the pictures.
