i agree we should all pay our bit. it seems very unfair though if everyone had to pay the same amount.

That's what the Brits did, take the childrens allowance off the rich, it makes sense, just as taking the medical card off the over 70's who have money would also make sense.

On a serious note I only work a few hours at the weekends and take home 70 euro from that, If thats going to be taxed then theres no point in working at all, I may sign on fully

i never got a grant in my last year..and my parents are pension age..it was a killer to watch ones in my year piss all the grant money or whatever was giving to them down the drain when i struggled,but hey thats lifeeducation is everything
