I had a quick look at Farmerama .. is it yet another farmville spin off? I notice that to use some features, you have to pay ..

I think it is a spin off...

and for some features you have to pay.....but it is not needed really, it only takes a longer time to reach the same.

once or twice a day a short log in.....do your thing and that's fine.....
perfect game for a busy single mum.

never heard of farmville before by the way....

Oh, it’s the computerized variant, ‘m afraid. Know nothing about the “true one”.

Next time try to smoke your harvest, perhaps it turns out not to be that boring after all.

this one is okay.

you have to make friends to clear a farmfield.
and maintain the friendship. otherwise you loose farmland. and you have to make your own animalfood, make your own products like honey and eggs..and you have to buy en sell on the market.
in addition to that...your farm gets visitors that place an order and it's up to you how to handle that...buy of grow it yourself.

you can play for free, it only takes longer to reach level 73, the highest level sofar...
and you can pay for additional things to speed up your progress.
for now, I played for free...and it's real fun.

I know from the forum there, there are 17 million players worldwide..

you can do quests....like producing stuff for the oktoberfest...
or donate stuff for the help the forestanimals through the winter....you donate...and get prices afterwards....

I signed up and am trying the game out - as you say, great game to loose 5 minutes now and then during the day, except I tried out a little day-trading on the market laugh

the market opens up after level 3
in level one....just grow lots of crops of lettuce.
just place land where ever you can and grow lettuce...

the sooner you finish levels 1 and 2, the funnier the game becomes.
