Ok. Got it. The Buddist/Taoist should do it! (Not mocking, I have been in an Eastern Philosophy for 25 years, am very familiar and do think along those lines...)
To find somebody really nice on this website, and then to live long enough to enjoy being with them. To find the will power to get away from this computer and make my lunch.
I'd wish a certain well-known UK book store would give my daughter a job and that she'd find a long fulfilling career there 
While I do have personal desires/goals of which these wishes would provide, I think they have more significance if achieved on one's own, though help and support from friends/family is always welcome, even if it is something we do not want to hear.. Mine would be:
1. Using water instead of petrol for power
2. Ensure that no one can die in poverty
3. That cures are found for the biggest illness's around the world, like cancer, aids, etc...
Actually, can I have another 10 as there are more things that would make this a better world for everyone..
Also, fingers crossed your daughter gets the job Charlie and who knows, maybe in 5yrs she can open her own specialist book store..

Had to think about this one – life has indeed taught me not to wish. Or at list not to wish anything that really matters. 
Hence, my first wish would be a thread (16 inches or 40 cm) of nicely cut small beads of crystal. Called “Healing crystal” in English, though I’m uncertain about what “healing” refers to.
Then I’d wish a thread of the same length and quality of pink quartz. And the third wish will by the same of amethyst. (I’ve got beading and bijouterie making as a hobby, you see).
That said, I’d like to know whom I’ve got to discuss prices with on here?

You're funny sid. Made me laugh with the "trying find enough willpower to get away from the computer". I know exactly what you mean! My "seat" hurts but I still can't get up sometimes!

Okay, solution found, we all draw up a list whereby we use one wish between us for the common good and the other two for more personal reasons..
Also Tulefel, I had a quick look and there seems to be various healing crystals and should be able to source them.. I found the following guide to them and also a list of supplier's you could investigate further..

If I may say my 3rd wish, it would be that from now and forever, Humanity ONLY worked with the good of the whole as a rule and had zero tolerance and dealt with in an exemplary way, with people and boards or trustees etc who acted in sefish and self profiteering ways, thus medicines would be sold only for the benefit of sick people and not because despite the fact that people didn't really need them, pharmaceutical companies would promote them (often using fearmongering, e.g. Swine Flu) often to make healthy people sicker in the process, just so they could add another few millions in their already inflated pockets.
This would extend to all aspects of social life.
