Anyone got fascinating "changing the clock" stories? dunno

Sorry....bit bored today! laugh

Well, here's mine anyway....

Have just changed all my clocks. It takes a while cause I've got quite a few! There's the giant pendulum clock in the living room, the lighthouse clock with the swaying rowing boat in the hallway, the self-rotating backwards clock in the bathroom and the double-sided station clock at the top of the stairs, as well as all the boring digital ones! roll eyes doh

The one on at the top of the stairs is quite a tricky one to change, as you have to stand on your tippy toes on the very top step and balance precariously as you open up both sides of the clock face to change the time. It is so high that it is almost at ceiling level. Imagine my delight then, as I opened it up this morning and saw that the two seemingly good quality batteries with a use-by date of 2014 were absolutely caked in acid, so much so they were actually "welded" to the battery casing!!! Great!! That made a normally boring chore, just a wee bit more interesting!! uh oh laugh

It's Halloween, so there will be no star gazing in the garden tonight....you never know what might be hiding behind the buddleia bushes!!!! uh oh jackolantern jackolantern jackolantern crazy crazy transport

Clock changing is hell! Well Helloween anyway :)

I always find the clock I'm looking at is the one I haven't changed!

Actually, Halloween has been very dull this year. My daughter was quite heartbroken so few houses wanted to take part.

I think this country needs a good jolly along sometimes! :)

I did forget to put the clocks back once...several years ago when I was at college. I turned up at the college and although the doors were unlocked, it was absolutely deserted! I spent about 10 minutes wandering around, completely baffled, wondering where everyone was and why my class hadn't started! It wasn't until I glanced at a clock that I realised it was still 8am instead of the 9am that I thought it was!! roll eyes laugh Bit embarrassing!! blushing rolling on the floor laughing

Awwww...what a shame for her. I have never actually celebrated Halloween, but I do buy chocolates for the kids every year. There are virtually no kids at all on the small estate where I live, so it's pretty unlikely that there will be any trick or treating. I got the chocolates all ready last night, but didn't get any wee ghosties knocking on my door. Never mind... all the more for me!! grin
