I'm not one to argue verified medical data, but I don't concur, because in my opinion, you don't get HIV/AIDS from sharing a dirty alcohol bottle, because at 90-proof everything is sterilized. Injecting heroin however can cause someone to be killed instantly because the drug is so unstable it can cause someone to have an accidental overdose instantaneously.

I would not try heroin or crack nor anyother drug I do not need them.
Not even smoking is for me.
For alcohol, table wine is fine for me, a couple of glasses with dinner, that is perfect.

You need to read the report to see how they came to this conclusion.
In fact heroin came out as the most harmful to the user.

i have read the same notice this morning on the italian newspaper...
this kind of ranking, i mean establishing what is more harmful if the alcohol or the heroin, seems to me a battle of the have-nots...

They said that between smoking Opium,and Drinking Alcohol,smoking Opium was the LESSER Of The Two Evils!Basically Alcohol (In Excess)was doing more physical harm than Opium!
So don't go off smoking Opium now!!!

lilmamma71: I have read statistical information from many sites including the one surrounding alcohol-related crashes, and I agree with you...but I was only speaking in terms of short-term affects on the health.
When someone abuses alcohol, it will take a number of years for those effects to show up, whereas, w/ heroin it can kill someone instantly.
