Okay, it seems like winter is well on the way now snowman2 Not that it bothers me too much talk to hand as I'm the original "Ice-maiden" uh oh

However, I've a budgie and cockatiel that have Australian Origins, plus an hamster that's in danger of going into hibernation if it get's too cold.... My central heating system is far from energy efficient. In fact it's completely crap. More hot air and heat comes from a politicians gob than does my radiators cold

So, I've just bought a 2kw oil free radiator and electric stove fire to see if my house is any warmer, also if it works out more economical or not dunno

Anyone any ideas or tips on how to keeps their pads warm economically or anyone want to say how they keep warm in winter beer

Full gas central heating.
Which is never turned on, as the bills are way too expensive, and set to rise another 7-9% !!!

I have efficient central heating in that the radiators get too hot to touch. However even though I have double glazing my home does not get warm and I only found out last week why. There are draughts coming from the seals of all the windows where the window pane joins the frame. I went and bought some thick brown parcel tape and am going to tape all the windows throughout so the draughts will stop, then my home will be warm. For the past ten years I have only had the heating on just a handful of times because my home never became warm. 10 years to figure it out doh

I've got electric underfloor heating. Don't have it on a lot, doesn't get really cold here near the coast. Never put it on in the bedroom because I like it to be cool, once I'm in bed I feel warm........even though I'm there on my own, unfortunately. crying
