I think you're a bit wide of the mark calling it Irelands 'Top Sport'. That honour goes to Hurling. Followed by Gaelic Football, Rugby, Soccer, Golf, Horseracing, Showjumping, Camogie, Boxing and Horseracing.

Yours isn't even in the top ten!

Also, the people heard on the video clip have English/British accents dunno

north west 200 there does be twice as many at that meeting than in croke park am only saying now cause i like gaa as well. the only time road racing gets the headlines is when someone gets killed. and for the british accents people from britain and other countrys come to the racing its not just the irish handshake

Lovely sound on that video. You must admit you don't get that on the other sports you mentioned. BTW, WTF is "hurling" and "Camogie"? While I'm at it, you mentioned horseracing twice lol.

doh The other 'horseracing' should be Greyhound racing.... typo!

Camogie and hurling are basically the same thing... but camogie is for the girls and has a bit less 'contact'

In the USA hurling has very different meaning.

BTW how many players of the UK version of hurling have had their front teeth knocked out by that ax shaped bat? You wouldn't catch me on that field.
