geo2519: Food for thought...communication, compatibility, let's add more as we go.
I think it's different for different people and I can only personally speak for myself however...My personal opinion is as long as both in the relationship are happy with one another, then age is nothing but a thing. One of the keys to a successful relationship is happiness and as long as they are, it's a great place to start.

I think the OP is looking for more input than just age differences. Being on similar intellect levels, having similar interests - nothing worse than you wanna watch Nat Geog or Discovery & she wants to watch "Loving, Desperate Housewives, Days of our Lives, The Bold & Beautiful, etc" You play sport & her sports are "roulette, bingo, one arm bandits"; you get the picture! I think the couple that can sing & play the same music, dance to the same tunes, walk the same paths & yet remain their own individual selves, Stand the best chance of having a lasting relationship!
well most people believe men should always be older than women - but its not important for me - im also happy to date older women than me - i mean only few years older not so old

Yes I agree ... and although age generally adds interest and maturity, that is not ALWAYS the case!

chrisfarmer85: why its ok for a young man to go out with younger woman - but its not ok for young woman to go out with a younger man? i saw this question in a movie
Hi
You seem to be watching movies that muck with your own discretion of whats perceived right, and whats perceived wrong..
There is no right or wrong... its just commonsense..
If you were 60 women, why bother with a male person so young that you would have a limited conversation with?
Not only would conversation be limited, but so would knowledge, wisdom, and general know how of everyday things...
The true foundation of any relationship is not in the age matter of the subjects at hand, but by the inner tuition of both minds and spirits who seems to have a connection based on a higher energy level of nature calling them from an attraction in which we are all programmed and wired by nature or by GOD into for the continuation of the human existance there for age is merely a pre condition of the mind to judge the experience of the person whom you are attractive to and should have no meaning what so ever as to how you proceed towards one another in a romanCE leading to a intimate or casual setting
