This will freak you out!

I talk to a University Librarian in Derby, Great Britain. She reported to me weeks ago that Tea Parties are starting in England! She would know.

How ironic is that? Didn't we fight a war with England about this?

The Tea Party, through donations, may secure enough money to compare with the US Military very shortly.

amahlala: While I can see some appeal of the Tea Party Movement; going back to the Founding Fathers and the USA Constitution; scares the hell out of me.

Does the Tea Party realize that if they try to go backwards; to the times of our Founding Fathers; that we would in essence, lose everything that has been gained in the last 200 or so years, give or take a few decades. I'm a woman, I like voting and exercise that right; the Founding Fathers did not give me that right....it had to be fought for....(as an example)

I wouldn't be too concerned, they're not talking about dragging women around by the hair and yielding clubs. We're not talking the "Flintstone" Era.

Great post amahlala

The Tea Party is not going back in time, but rather forward.

That is Conservatism. "To not change your values"

amahlala: Are you sure about that? Which version of the Wanting to Back to the Constitution are they talking about? The original or?

The aspect that I would value is the decline in the size/cost of the federal government. I'm not sure where you're coming up with your loss of voting priviledges? dunno

If the feds don't get under control soon, your right to vote will be the least of your concerns. professor

JSuburbia: You do realize that this is about as far from the truth as it gets? The Tea Party was formed by Freedom Works, which is a major republican contritbutor....Far from grassroots.

All 200 of their organization were given money from Freedom Works? Can you site?
