To me romance is a state of mind. It's something that just happens; it never works when planned. At least with me. I can look back at a time when I was in a local bar on an average night and sitting on a bar stool gazing into Tricia's eyes. All though the bar was busy, I can't remember a single person who was there. I fell into her beautiful brown eyes and the world stood. I can still feel the softness of her skin and remember the smell of her perfume. We spent a considerable amount of time in bars but this night was special for no other reason than we were both blessed with a feeling of romance on that night. And we were drinking beer! Who said you need wine for romance? They're wrong. laugh beer

It really has nothing to do with you. It's not something you cultivate, buy or prepare for in my experience. It has everythingto do with the person your with. When the timing and person are right it will engulf you like a fog for a lack of better words. The world around you fades away and you are totally captivated by the person your with. Your in awe of this person and you find yourself speaking without words. Your souls do all the talking. It is for me like a dream state of mind, but their eyes, lips, hair and everything else about them isjust perfectly clear. Maybe I'm confusing the feeling of true love with romance, but the world needs more of it. You just haven't found the right person to bring that out in you. You are a VERY SPECIAL LADY and deserve a SPECIAL man. Don't settle for less!!!!!!!!!!!!!wine

I think you are describing the euphoria of being totally, madly, deeply in love which is different to the topic of romance.

P.S....If you are new to CS, how do you know Amity so well ? ....confused dunno

I agree. The music of the 50', 60', 70' were mostly love songs of one variety or another. Romance died with AM radio. There are still love songs like Sweet Child of Mine (Guns N Roses) but few and far between. beer

You were on my welcome post. Didn't you read the posts where I was getting ganged up on. Amity was the first person to come to my defense without a single concern for herself. After her others followed. That spoke volumes to me. To ask how I know her so well in saying she's special, you obviously agree. beer

I'm not sure about that. Isn't feeling romantic the same as feeling the love you have for that person. Where is the romance without that feeling of love?
