Here's a fine example of what Republicans want to enhance with Health Care Insurance.

When my Health Insurance increased again this year 30% - I decided to file a complaint with the State Insurance Commissioner and demand they ( the insurance company ) show exactly where the cost went up that much ........

Their answer:
Thank you for your request for assistance.
The insurance laws of Calif expressly prohibit the Insurance Commissioner from establishing or regulating rates for Health Insurance. It is the position of the Department of Insurance that insurance company trade secret, proprietary and confidential material are not subject to public access.

I also filed a complaint with my health Insurance Company.
Their Amswer:
This in response to your concerns regarding increases to your premiums. Please be advised that the policy rate determinations are consistent with sound and established actuarial principles. Our actuarial statistics are proprietary and confidential and therefore are not available for public access.

Guess what people ? This is what non-regulation and free-enterprise" does for all of us ! We get state regulatory agencies working together with huge coporations to screw us outta every dime they can.
We can now be pretty much guaranteed we'll again see another ten years of 30% + health insurance premium increases !

And some of you screamed out loud about Obama's Transparency ? doh doh barf

Well...from what I understand....the only way to get true transparency is to give the information to Mr. Assange to post on Wikileaks.

Let's put on our little thinking caps.

When your government requires that everyone have "free" insurance w/ no caps someone has got to pick up the tab. Guess what Juan, you're it. ObamaCare's finest hour! You should be thrilled to pay the extra "tax". Like Dude.

Strange thing about the UK Health system...I've not had any increases in any costs at all laugh In fact next year, I will be some €100 a month better off when the new tax coding comes in on 5th April...and will STILL get FREE healthcare.

However, correct me if I am wrong, it has increased every year hasn't it?

I am using Champix right now (Chantix to you guys)..the cost to me here in Spain is €51 - $68 in your money. Someone told me it is about $125 over there. I wonder where the difference comes from?

Juan, CA is the most regulated and bueacratic State in the country. Most of the time it is managed by DEMs. Arnold being the sole REP Governor in a long time.

What did you expect?

Your 30% raise.....can be attributed to Obamacare placing the Insurance companies into virtual business no man land to future cost, competition and size of groups that will be avialable for Insurance premiums.

But the denial here runs so deep.....that it is still REP fault.... laugh rolling on the floor laughing you title the thread Transperancy in Helathcare....I know Juan health care cost were going to go down.....we heard so many time during the debate on Obamacare, it was like a DEM mantra. DEM were walking around repeating......healthcare will go down.....heathcare will go down.....healthcare will go down....

Yes, I know.....I lived over there for 8 years, 6 of them in CA.

62% of bankruptcies stem from medical bills....

Travel companies organize coach trips for the aged to Canada to get cheaper medicines....

Your health insurers yield too much (monetary) power (bribes) and that is why, and I am being blunt here, your health system is the laughing stock of the developed world.

Such a super power, but your healthcare bankrupts people, you pay exorbitant costs for medicines. Shameful really.

Usually I enjoy yankin' your string JV, but in all honesty, did you really really think costs would go down?

I also have some distrust of insurance companies, but my observation of how government can f-ck up about anything is higher; education, postal service, any regulatory agency (banking), etc. cheers

JS..IF I went to a Doctor and it was prescribed to me, I would pay $10 or less. We don't mpay for the cost of the pills ets, we just pay for the prescription, regardless of the cost of the medicine.
