Seems like a lot of people are thinking of voting Sinn Fein in the next election as a way of hitting back at the Government. Not sure if this is a good idea though as no more than Labour they shout the odds but have no real policies.

Nah they dont have any realistic chance of getting power.. They are at about 16% at the moment, Fianna Fail 13%, so no they wont be in power

there are a few reasons for the rise in popularity, firstly they have become much clearer on there economic policys, secondly the message they were preaching before the last election is more relevent now in these tough times, also there are certain ff voters who will never vote for fg and sinn fein may be a protest vote, one thing for sure is there has been a shift to the left donegal showed that with 60% voting for left or left leaning candidates

One thing I have noticed with politics is integrity seems to be in short supply. So who do I vote for? laugh

Recent poll sees their support rise by 5% so that should transfer

into votes when the time comes, Personally I dont think they could

be any worse than the crooks in government now

they are good at a local level but their communist/socialist manifesto would never work in the south
the only reason the multinationals are here is cause of the low corpo tax
they wanna raise that and tax the middle classes
they have crazy economic policies handshake
they will do well in the next election unfortunately but thankfully all the other parties down here hate them

Ireland is skint...what has low corpo tax got to do with anything at this stage.

Other parties don't like Sinn Fein because they represent the working class. The middle class are the working class

I would rather not vote at all than ever vote for Sinn Fein thumbs down
My granny lectured me about the importance of people voting....she saw men die for our right to vote....so I always vote no matter what state the country is in....but my conscience could never let me vote for Sinn Fein.

Its interesting that a hell of alot of Irsh people hate Gerry and Thatcher with nearly equal measure.???

I don't hate Adams
I just would never vote for SF because I believe their party, support and funds are blood money...that is all....

whiteontop: I am going out now and it is Sunday Morning but I would like to get back to you on this Quote at another time. Purely out of interest.

Noticed you didn't mention the Iron Lady at all. Do you love her or what

no-one with half a heart had any time for Maggie thumbs down I think she made the "fat cats" in UK happy but the way she treated her workers (miners etc) was disgusting. Strong woman with no heart at all in her is my opinion.
Get back to me if you like about my SF views....I won't give you a row....my mind was made up long ago and I won't ever be changing it!
enjoy your day wave
