when we go swimming in the sea its at our own risk because we are entering their world so we are the invaders. yes its good that they try ro make the water safe to swim in by putting up shark nets etc but i dont think you can blame the shark for any attacks after all they do not come on land and invade our world.
i think you have to respect the sea and all that live in it.
shark attacks are still very rare and it has been proven that humans are not on the sharks menu most attacks have been proven to be mis identification.

Now there are sharks… as if it wasn’t enough with jelly-fish…

And actually I was playing with a thought to go to Hurghada in December or January for a week or two… You pay quite a lot for the journey and someone would bite you to death on the first day… a very risky investment.

Safe to swim in shallow water....? In SA, bathers were attacked when paddling up to their knees in shallow water.

I would not swim in any sea off a desert country ..... They use de-salinated water and have massive de-salination plants ..... returning the concentrated salts to the water which kills off the sea-life that large fish depend on for food.......

...Sooooo.... you get very hungry sharks that will taste anything!

Ja, I agree, human flesh is not to sharks taste ... hence the reason they just take a few bites, and not eat the entire person.

Most probably, also, those bathers had a pee in the sea .... grin.... which gives a sharks a "distress" signal of something dying so he/she hurries along to eat it!
