Would you still use CS if the forums were not here?
We take them for granted.
But as members of CS did is occur to anyone that our behaviour could sometimes be viewed as unacceptable, disrespectful and could potentially remove the use of the Forums from CS?

The staff have a job to do and come under constant pressure and criticism for their work, especially when threads are put up which question their decisions with regard to the action they take.

This kind of behaviour directed towards them is unacceptable, it is in reality their site..they reserve ultimate judgement, and should be allowed to remove people without the constant questioning from other members.
We moan, complain and frequently question whether a certain member deserved their ban...but lets be realistic..give the staff a chance , dont question their judgement or maybe the forum privelidge could be removed completely!

I tend to agree Jac..there are a lot of other sites out ther..but what, for me makes this my favourite is the forums..I have met so many great people and the guy I dated last year and now the guy Im seeing at the moment, are both people I got to know, initially thru using the forums..
so long live the forums!
Without them this becomes just another mundane site, but I do realise, at times it must be very hard to see discussions spiral out of control.
So guys..if you value this aspect of CS...Bloody behave yourselves!!!

It's kind of like when you speed all the time and get away with it for years, then one day you get pulled over and receive a ticket. You belly ache about the fine. Same happens here, get away with a lot for awhile, then all the sudden you're banned.

They are cracking down more this holiday season just like the highway patrollaugh

solsticemoon: I believe the forums are a great way to see the tru character of people and at times, if Ive been contacted by someone that seemed ok Ive actually suggested they join in the forums..just to give me a better insight to their character..so long live the forums and hopefully they'll remain a feature of this site!

The forums are the best way to get to know people, if it hadn't been for the forums here on CS, I would have stayed on POF.

Frankly, before I discovered the forums, the whole online dating thing was a depressing experience for me, because I wasn't educated about scammers, there was no proper interaction with anyone, and I got emails from people, who just seemed plain weird.

I was about to give up, when a particular thread caught my attention and I felt I needed to voice my opinion. That day changed my opinion of online dating websites completely.

From then on I discovered that there is such a thing as an online community, that friendships can be formed online and that there are many issues and worries, I didn't just have myself, but that were experienced by others too.

In essence: if the forums ceased to exist tomorrow, I'd not be here any more.

I'm questioning my motivation to stay as it is, since I discovered this morning that my best friend here, who has never been abusive to anyone in any way, had been removed without prior warning. I'm still hoping that it was done by mistake, so don't ask me, who I'm referring to, because I will not tell.

I am quite new to this site. I used a couple of other sites a couple of years ago, but this is the best I have used mainly due to the forums. There have been funny ones, sad ones and crazy ones. While the majority of posters are responsible, unfortunately there is a minority who may spoil it for the majority.

If we see someone being stupid, lets ignore the thread. Or better still maybe if the Mods see something they dont like, they can post a no more comments please post.

I know I have 'spoken' to people I wouldn't normally as they live outside my local area.

Lets all make a New Year resolution to behave on the forums so we can all continue to enjoy them.

You have no idea how many times I have said those words but what happens instead is that they all want in on a piece of the action - its like a particularly virulent strain of the flu or something - there nowt so queer as folk............ laugh

It really surprises me that CS offers all that it does for no charge! Where else can you join for nothing and not be restricted by any of the features without a credit card?

I know what you mean..but its a privelige we enjoy, so instead of questioning the whys n whatevers lets just appreciate what we have on offer..........and ok it defeats the object of discussion, but if it keeps the forums going, lets just discuss the pleasantries of life...maybe if they removed the political n religious threads?

I think that CS would lose many members..also new members wishing to join.
The forum as far as i am concerned is the main attraction on CS..without it? would i be here? No.

I can understand the issues that may cause concern recently...but, if you wish to host dating website you must expect some work! There will be issues, there will be fall outs with others. We are all adults here and know the score.

I think of the forums as a community, some of us dislike each other..some of us have met the most amazing people here. If CS decided to get rid of the forum i can assure you this site will diminish.
