Confront her about it. Ask her if she is cheating on him. If she is a really close friend, she will confide in you.
But, until she gives a valid reason why she's been out all night, refuse to babysit for her. It could only come back to bite you if you continue to cover for her.

A friend shouldn't put you in the position where you are looking after her kids and you don't know when she is coming home, unless its an emergency and you have agreed that you can do that for her.
A friend shouldn't put you in a position where you are burdened with her infidelity unless you are happy to keep her secrets and have agreed to facilitate her deception.
I would be questioning the friendship, big time.
I know true friendship is hard to find, but that's no excuse to accept being used.

To the OP "Birds of a feather flock together" "Lie down with dogs you get up with fleas" you get the idea. Surround yourself with people who will reciprocally enrich your life and you theirs. For, she will only bring you down to her level, asking you to cover for her, or aid her in her deception. You deserve better friends. It seems that you would be a good friend to have.
