What a tree or a shrub would you love to plant in a yard?
Always wanted to have a Tulip tree Liriodendron tulipifera in my yard.
Last summer at last I planted one .... I grew that seedling from a cutting, since there is no way to find a Tulip tree in a local nurseries. Sorry guys can stay with you on my thread.

hiya! i have a house in my country, with a big lawn and few fruit trees:apricot, peach, apple, pear, cherrytree, quince, plum and figs, some cypresses and pine trees,by the fence, some rose bushes and other seasonal flowers...the fruit trees are still very young, but,i got to pick 8 apricots lasst summer, absolutely delicious.. my mother is taking care of all that, with some help, but,i do the lawn on my holidays..still planning the whole thing, some more decorative pretty trees, maybe magnolia, but need to do some research, which will suit the climate, its quite extreme at times..

I love moon flowers, hydrangea and lilacs..smell wonderful in the springtime with the windows open.
Rethink the oak tree I have three very large old ones in my yard and I am now knee deep in leaves and it is raining oak seeds all over the place. There pretty most the year. And provide a great shade. But sure are messy right now

The Oak is alive, the rest is dead. But it's not big, only about a fot. I clear undergrowth regulary and fertilize but it sure doesn't sprout. I'm moving from here even further up north and I guess I will take it with me since it's planted on the lawn, next owner will probably cut it. It's strange there was a Hungarian Oak that came with the lilac bushes it's 3 meters tall now and grows like crazy right in the mist of the other bushes. Maybe that's the trick I'm being to nice to the Canadian. Oh I have Swedish Oak as well it's abot two feet now.
