yes I've heard the same news and I think it's very positive.

I really have no idea how middle class is going to do it, spend more money without inadequate salary.

here in the Netherlands, I heard more banks are willing to take a so called stress test...to see if they are ready to face future problems. I see that as a great indicator that trust is returning and so more people can get a loan when needed.

in the mean while....my salary remained the same and prices of daily groceries are climbing...but hey...let's stay positive...nothing stays the same forever.

The little bit I know of international politics and money matters is scary ...... but ... I have noticed, in the little towns near me ... that the Germans are more money conscious, and do not waste as much, anymore, like fellow "europeans"........ and they offer value for money in what they sell, and are taking life more seriously?

Money matters all start in the home ..... and in my opinion, people need to be a bit more frugal in their lifestyles ... not being such great Consumers of Goods, like hungry frogs!

well smoky, you are right on that.

but we dutch look well after our money, as the Germans do.
in fact, our guilder was always connect to the deutsche mark before the entry of the euro.

I don't know exactly but it has to do with export and stuff.
if the DM did well, the guilder did well.

but because the banks stopped trusting, it became more difficult for people to loan money to start a company or expand their company.
now, with our new PM mark rutte things will probably change for the better because he belongs to a party that puts the market first and follow German trends better.
I think the new bank attitude has to do something with it.

and in short, this government is saving A LOT of money the next coming years. Not well taken by everyone here, but the state's wallet is very closed since mark rutte is leading.
