Ok, so I've been talking to this chick on a site similar to this one. Just a message or two a week for the past month and a half or so. Found out we had a lot in common, a lot of similar interests. She recently gave me her messenger usernames, and we had a pretty good conversation yesterday, went really well. A buddy of mine who I've talked to about the situation keeps asking me why I haven't talked to her on the phone or even asked her out yet.

My thing is, I want her to get to know me a little better before I bring any of that stuff up so she can trust that I'm not some maniacal, psycho killer. Which is something I have to be a little more careful about than most because I am, after all, a convicted felon. So, I told my buddy I wanted to just talk to her online for another month or two before I even bring up anything about talking to her on the phone or meeting her somewhere, unless she brings it up first. He says I'm friggin' nuts.

What do you people think? Am I taking it too slow?

Pace is set differently by every runner......................

As long as you are comfortable with it, dont worry.

If the girl can not handle your pace, she may not be that interested or is motivated by the wrong things.

One more thing. Only YOU can make that decision. Your friends shouldn't come into play. They don't have to live with the outcome.

Personallly if you have learned from your mistake I don't see this as being a serious crime that she would have to know.

Could be something that could come up later..if you want to ..

But meh...I wouldn't worry...

And it's nice to see a gentleman ask the ladies advice in such a matter. You pourred your heart in asking what you wanted from us and I tought you worded it very well...no wonder she likes you -keep it up!

Besides listen to her hints...I know I know..can be confusing ;-) but just keep going at your own pace and don't let your friends pressure you.

If you are meant to be together it's good to make it work from the beginning :-)
