I take it you mean peaceful as in safe and not that the people are quiet , well Uruguay is pretty nice to stay in South America, a lot more relaxed than Brazil, you dont have to keep thinking every one wants to rip off another gringo and lie to you, so many nice countries but to live is another matter, Spain where i live is nice, especially in the summer, crime up a bit now but economic times are bad
Well I also look for replies of this post. I loved Denmark because of its being safe, peaceful and societies' smiley face.. but still looking for a country which fits my mood (again telling that Denmark is nice country).
As one of my best friend said to me; richness is equal to the money you earn divided by the free time you have and the non-stressful times you have . And I am not avaricious .
Youre right there about Mexico, such a shame, i used to love going down to Baja California, Cabo san Lucas , great food, places and people. I certainly wouldnt visit Cuidad Juarez though, the most dangerous in the world

It is dangerous (not the most dangerous) BUT we will correct that. Just give us some time, please.
The great places and people they are still here. Myself, planning to experience other places.
South Africa is really safe. No-one owns any guns there anymore, thanks to the Gun-Free initiative of a few years ago. Well, legally no-one owns a gun. People who get shot by guns are just a fantasy.
Switzerland is next on the list..... they want to abolish guns here too .....so crime will be just a fantasy .. like elsewhere.
I think, if you looking for a really really peaceful place to live, then go live in the Congo in Africa. No-one has guns there, and anyone who tells you otherwise is lying..... Why else is America not paying the soldiers or giving them guns there? .... its all just a big fantasy.
What was the question...? Safe countries..? ..or gun-free countries...? What is the actual difference?

Malta - Safe, Best Climate in the world and we're so little that our army is practically harmless. And the main issue of the country is if divorce has to be introduced or not.

Yes. I am so sorry that I partake of the lowest form of wit, I just cannot resist it.

Ja ... most of the country voted NO. .. Long live The Swiss Traditional Way of Life! And those who don`t like it can go live elsewhere......... ... Like where only the criminals have the weapons, instead of law abiding tax paying citizens.
.....................
And I agree with the Maltese ... Malta is about the best little crazy country to live in!

Cursed the Heck out of one of the Socialists when I went voting Saturday! They had the Cheek to set up where plenty Folks had to pass, and were giving out Balloons and Leaflets with the Yes-Parole on it
They wouldn't have gotten mine anyway! Now I'll get me another one!

What are the arguments for not allowing divorce there?
