I don't know about the rest of you but I am real and I live in the real world.

The cyber world is merely the vessel I use to communicate with people that are removed from me in distance.

I would hope the ones I communicate with are real and in there part of the real world.

On my end of the computer screen, the real world here seems very fake..just look at those whom I called friends....they stabbed me in the back. The cyber world is where I find my real friends. Its mixed up, but I like ithug

Cyber friends can stab you in the back also. But even as they do it the too are in the their part of the real world.

cyber is still just the vessel of communication.

I think people who are fake in the cyberworld are fake in the real world and people who are real in the cyberworld are real in the real world. In fact, people's true colors tend to come out more in the cyberworld than they do in the "real" world, IMO.

i talked with one gentleman on here...who had become his own false persona. he literally preferred the lie...to his reality...and perpetuated it in many ways.

clinically ill, he is...and had fabricated an entire life for himself...he talked, breathed, and responded as the fake.

it is a vessel of communication but it is how us in the real world use it.

In the real world there is false people as wellin the cyber world.

But here we have to take people as we find them. roll eyes

The friends I found over this site have helped me...all I have to do is speed dial, (or get on a messenger cause a certain tornado won't call me) and I get all the encouragement I need to get past the crappers who think they totally rock but its all in their heads.

Sorry, I'm still venting about the last couple days lol

I'm not sure about this.

In the world around you people know more about your business than you realize.

It is much eaiser to create a false world to present to the cyber community than to create a false world in the community that sees you go to work everyday.

But the false cyberworld is so damned transparent, most of the time. Or at least translucent.

You are right. But most of the people who post their false self don't seem to realize that. They see the cyber wall and not the cyber glass so they post thinking they are protected by that illusion.

im real...online and off

in another post a while back i said i dont belive ALL the people that are "fakes" on here (not talking about the obvious things) are truly trying to be a fake. i think sometimes we feel invisible or not good enough and its easy to pretend to be what you WISH yourself to be. but that is harmful when it becomes a real friendship or relationship/love interest. that person is expecting that REAL you...and they end up facing a stranger.

our words here is all most of us has to know you by, whether its by posts, emails, phone...still words until the distance is crossed....and what we do/say, does mean something to someone...

I see the real world and cyber as the very same with one exception.

There are thoes who say things that they other wise would not say if they were in person with whom they are talking too. Since they are safe from bing punced or slapped they think its ok to mean, curle, abrasive, to say things without thought of anyones feeling.

While these people may mean nothing to us and what they do are no more than words on a page and should not bug anyone.

With that said I ask this,

Do any of us take crap in our real life from anybody?
