I understand about blocking members from sending email and flowers but what about viewing your profile? Can you stop someone from viewing your profile?

Thanks

No But you can turn it off so that you never see who views you.

Okay..Thanks!

I was wondering because this guy contacted me last night..he got a little pushy and impatient, wanted my email so that he could send a photo of himself to me. I like to get to know someone before I give out my email (I had trouble in the past giving out my email address). I told him I didn't want to give out my email, he told me I should trust people..then he blocks me from sending another email..so I decided to block him. After logging into CS today, saw that he viewed me.

I wouldn't give out your email for quite a while. He can post a pic of himself on CS instead. That tells you a lot about his personality if he freaks out about not getting your email address and then blocks you. That's a sign. He wouldn't be worth it to me. Good luck.

I'm sure most of us get those e-mails where the person is asking for our e-mail address or they leave theirs. I tell them let’s get to know one another here on CS first and it doesn't take too long that our communication comes to a dead end and if not I stop answering if they keep insisting that we chat or e-mail each another with our private e-mail addresses. If they come back to view our profile what's wrong with that, it's out there for all to see.

Thanks for the reply

I had some of those too...and do same as you do. It was his attitude and the blocking thing and then coming back on to view me that bothers me.

musicfreak: To me it sounded like a really pushy scammer at first but then she said he blocked her. So sounds like he just has an attitude problem which can lead to all sorts of problems you don't want to have. Either way, he's not worth your time if it starts out like that.

I agree thumbs up

He did have a attitude problem.

Some people will set up totally separate email accounts for their online friends and I've even heard some do the same with facebook. Personally I find that the ones that do ask for an outside email address will stop writing once you say that you wish to continue using this site for correspondence. I do actually wish that CS would have the option that you could have private pictures, so for example in this case, one could decide who to show their picture to or not.

Me too! And also to block someone from reading your profile though not a big deal.

Send your pictures in an eCard to whoever you want to have see them, and keep them hidden to the public if that's what you want.

I like your idea too, langleygirl

I don't mind people viewing my profile but remember it was him that blocked me first because I didn't give him my email address. His attitude didn't turn me on so I blocked him. I notice he came back twice to view my profile.
So if someone blocks another from sending mail, why would you go back to view their profile..I wouldn't.

I haven't given out my email address since joining this site. I tell them that I like to communicate from CS, sometimes they don't bother to write back...and sometimes they have an attitude and block you......scammers!

I guess it just takes time to find that special someone. You will know when you find him. wave

Well I just had someone block me because I refused to give out my msn address to him right away. He actually contacted me twice. I certainly don't understand how someone can complain that people block him without an explanation and he turns around and does the same thing. Obviously someone who can't be bothered to write and get to know someone first BEFORE asking for an msn address truly isn't that interested. I don't think I was rude or anything. I suppose I'll be listed on his profile as well along with another lady, but she was smart enough to block him first. In my time here, I'm certainly seen all kinds of people!!

You were not rude. I don't see any reason to leave the site to communicate elsewhere...at least until you feel comfortable about giving out your email address. This is a great site!!

and

I agree if they can't be bother to write and get to know someone first, probably not that interested.
