if your looking to find love and then you find them and contact them once why is it that when you find things out you stop talking to that person if you didn't want to make contact why bother initiating contact in first place

I agree with you 100%. It really makes me angry when people do that, which they do constantly.

Probably because it's only when you start talking to them that you find out what they're really like. Before that, all you have to go on is their picture and a few words in their profile that they've written themselves!
Physical attraction is only a start; you have to be compatible too.

Yea all that is true, but some people don't even give it a chance. I know what sort of things put people off or attracts them, and I can be the funniest, move decent guy in a first letter - Yet I get no response. They don't give it a chance to see if we're compatible or not.

it is nothing personal usually, this internet dating is extremely fast and people move on far quicker than in the real world. if a person gets lots of contacts then perhaps there is the intention to reply but with a new lot of contacts appearing everyday it just never gets done and then its too late ....gotta be tuff on the dating sites im afraid

I know what you're saying zedbra; the problem is that a lot of women on these sites can pick and choose who they talk to, as they get more mails than we do.

I see what you mean. I think that doesn't make it right though. I get very few contacts so any I do get mean a lot. I'm so used to being let down though that I know full well that with every contact I get, they'll let me down before they even try and get to know me. It's fine for them if they have stacks of new contacts every day. It seems that online dating is even tougher than real life dating huh? So what do guys like me do? I don't stand a chance. People always say, "You'll find someone some day, you're such a nice person". Not even the people saying that are ever interested though so it's obviously all talk. The truth is very obvious because it shows itself all the time. Of course people reading me get like this will tell me to be more confident and say that this sort of attitude puts women off. Well remember that I'm only like this because I'm rejected constantly in the first place. I come across more and more confident and happy these days, I really make an effort. Where does it get me though? Nowhere.

Yea that is very true. Kinda annoying but it makes sense. Shame they can't at least stick with the ones they choose to write to though. :)
