I tend to forgive and not forget.Which leaves me to question if I really did forgive in the first place.

Don't forget, only forgive. If you go on forgetting bad things you might start forgetting good things, too. How to forgive... is not very easy if you are not such kind of person. Maybe you should think about the possibility that anger created in you as a reaction to somebody's bad behaviour can harm you more than anybody else.

I think you can forgive, (that is the ability of the heart) but the only way to truly forget, would be to have had some sort of brain disorder (amnesia).

Forgiveness is a two way road, you need to be asked for forgiveness to forgive. If the offender does not care, how can you forgive? But with the time you forget and don't dwell on your anger. That is a thing you can learn, not to recall the grievance and not blow up the fire of anger.

yep..me too

i forgive in a sense that i comprend the reasons of the another person which however doesn't mean that i justify something that i reckon wrong...

it's more like an acceptation of their right to behave as they choose to..
