Arachnophobia...(fear of spiders)
so hate them......as a child I saw my father pick one up off the stairs, it bit him.
I live near a lot of trees so there is an abundance of spiders here, I especially hate the mediun sized black spiders, they have bodies like 2 shiney beads.....they can jump!!!
I can just about tolerate the Harvest Spider, tiny little round body with long thin legs, almost like a daddy long legs....
Excuse me while I just have a shudder or two
so hate them......as a child I saw my father pick one up off the stairs, it bit him.

Try putting conkers down in areas where you may think spiders would get into your house; apparently they are put off by the smell of them. I did this last September and so far have only seen one small spider in a room where I hadn't any conkers

I have done that and it does work, but I also bought some spray and used it in all the grooves in and surrounding the window, that works too.
I have 2 outdoor meter cupboards and the spiders love it in there, looks like a maternity hospital sometimes with all the egg nests. Saw a huge spider in there once,jumped back and cracked the back of my head on the lintel between the 2 cupboards, had a headache for 2 days,lol.
