I HAVE BEEN INVITED OUT ON A DATE AND TOLD TO LOOSE THE WEDDING RING! WHAT? NEVER THOUGHT MUCH OF IT AS ITS BEEN THERE FOR SO LONG. IT SEEMS TO BE A BUMMER FOR SOME. ANY THOUGHTS ON IT? WELL NOW THAT I AM OFFICIALLY SINGLE SHOULD I LOOSE THE RING, OR KEEP IT ON. PERSONALLY I THINK ITS A SIGN OF RESPECTABILITY. I COULD BE WRONG.

I don't know about it being a sign of respectability - maybe you could try whipping it off for a sec and seeing if you feel that you deserve a bit of rudeness from an ignoramous. laugh

Seriously, its nobody's business, but your own. One day the time might feel right that you no longer wear it, but I wouldn't let anyone else decide that for you.

And if a date objects - ditch the over-controlling, insensitive, insecure cad. laugh

I thought it an odd request, and what difference would it make? but suppose some feel stongly about these things. hug

Well hun it stays, its part of who I am now, and if things change then we shall see if a new one replaces it one day, which I gravely doubt. hug

A ring is a ring, some have more meaning than others and nobody, NOBODY should tell you to take it off. Do what you feel is right and if the time comes to remove it, or replace it, you will know. hug bouquet

Hi hunwave thanks, mind got so useto it being there, would really miss it dreadfully. If ever I did want to get wed which is not ever going to happen would want to keep this one, I don't think thats wrong, its not the one I got married with, so it would be ideal. Meanwhile the ring stays and as Uptall says the Bankers can sod off. teddybear
