john12196341: well people the president is showing his colors when he is concentrating on his golf while people arr being slaughterd in libya, protesters are being taken down in bhrain, people are suffering injapan and other crisies. even his own political base is questioning his motives. he can talk the talk but when it comes to walk the walk and put up he fails do do so

To be honest i think hes donig the right thing by staying out of it both the American and the British can't afford to get drawn into another conflict in the Middle Est esp the British after now there arm forces are been cut back to the last and the war in Afghanistan and Iraq as crippled the American economy.

RayfromUSA: C'mon, we all know that the presidency is just a figurehead role anyway, sort of like the Royal Family in the UK.

He gets to grandstand, but he has no real role in deciding anything that happens.

Presidents are puppets and woe be unto any president who tries to free himself from the strings.

Seriously Ray!!...An elected "figurehead" no less......get over yourself.....

Staying out of it does not mean Obama should not make clear the US will step up to the plate if it becomes necessary......Also, as our leader, Obama should not even risk appearing indifferent to World problems to even one US citizen....in my opinion, he consistently displays a lack of respect and concern for, not only the US, but the World......To say he has been less than diplomatic about the situation in Libya and the uprising in Egypt would be putting it mildly.........when you put a horse in the race, you do it because you think you might have a winner........putting Obama in the race was a mistake...

Wow! I just think maybe Americans expect too much from thier president. Being sworn in doesnt miraculously bestow super powers on someone. It doesnt give them the godlike abilities to solve all the crises on earth...Get real...Dude played a game of golf...BFD dunno

I think he is quite diplomatic, I also think he wanted to play a game of golf. Its pretty important Id think to keep your sanity in his position. What do you do to find your zen? He is HUMAN. and no doubt a good game of golf restores his equilibrium. I think its healthy. dunno

It's going to be interesting to read all the comments if a Republican should become president.Do people really believe that things will be any different then they are now.laugh

Both parties will still be fighting amongest themselves.

Different leader just same crap.

Well, here's the thing Venus...nothing wrong with a game of golf...that is not the issue here, that is not what I take issue with anyway...I take issue with most of Presidents Obama actions since taking office...It is not playing golf, it is when he chooses to play golf...how do I find my zen....I am not sure I have a zen to find......

I have no wish to be pulled into a political debate. I was Simply responding to the O/P's apparent outrage that the Pres played a game of golf...Get a grip peeps its a game of golf. Its not like Nero fiddling while Rome burned. What would you have him do? go to Japan and stick his finger in the leaking reactors to try and plug it?? As to Libya...wake up, the rest of the world leaders havent rushed in to do anything either....Keep it in perspective...Its a game of GOLF!!! roll eyes
