Yes TC they have a battery inside hard to get at it though, you must take it down, while its alarming be careful as it gives you vertigo loss of balance! the decibells are high. Then take it outside and remove the cover and see inside there is another slot for the batt. I had that prob with a neighbour, mind I was falling around for days after the episode! That should fix it. conversing

Mr.Woo you will never believe this, I did hit one with a hammer several times in fact and would it stop no way! not on your life. Damn thing I did get to the batt though eventually and that did stop it. teddybear

I have to admit, I've done that to more than one fire alarm because they went off without reason and wouldn't stop. One time I even took the battery out and the dang things still kept periodically beeping. *beeping* thing laugh

Hi TC ... sometimes the batter works loose, so will just keep going off ..... so maybe it just needs pushing in securely. Have you reported it to the land lord? I should think the other tenants are going deaf by now wink

Hope its sorted soon
