I read lot of scammers here and I had some experiences with them. But now I have met a man here (4 weeks ago) and he seems to be nice. He is from the states but right now in Africa because of his job (yes I know what that means), but he speaks very good english and (he is using the "slang words" like trust me and you know what I mean...) he writes good english (better than mine, what a surprise ) Of course I was thinking he is a scammer at first, but I am not sure. On his profile he wrote that he is seperated with no kids.I know scammer put on there widower with a kid (mostly a son) so we were writing e-mails, and then we started to send eachother messages on our cellphones and since 2 weeks we are talking on the phone for hours almost every day and when I dont call him he calls me. The reason that I call him mostly is because I told him it is cheaper for me because we you can dial special phone numbers so it doesnt cost so much money. So what would you think. Would a scammer 1) writing you messages on your cellphone (3-5 a day)? 2) calls you on your phone even though it is expensive and I bet it does 3)offers you money for your plane ticket so you can visit him? 4)offers you money because he is thinking you need money?(by the way I would never take money from other people) 5)tells you that we have to get to know eachother and that it takes time? I do have feelings for him and I dont want to be scammed. So what are you thinking about it?
Do an "IP lookup" on his first email and his recent email. open his email and go to preferences and you find his IP address there. Copy and paste into IP search and it will tell you where the mail came from. Copy all the IP address if you are not sure which one is his...if in the first mails he sent you from personal email has anything to do with Africa, he is prolly a scammer. Otherwise ask him for his SS# to be sure he is legitimately from the states or ask him for the digits of his SS# (as there is a certain amount). Another thing you can do is go to the scammer websites and see if his picture is there. It is worth the time to save the money and heartache. IF you need anymore help, just ask.

Good advice. Also ask what state he is from. The 2 middle numbers of pur SS# tell what state a person was born in. not hard to track it.

Some scammers are very good. Ask to chat with him on Skype. See what his response to that would be....

If he hasn`t asked you for money ,what else could he be scamming you for???
First of all when a man is interested, he will do whatever has to do. Invite him to your country, is the most secure way to meet him, he would be in your field, got it? Do not wait too much, So, look around for another choices and be opened for true opportunities. The man who wants you, have to reach you, you are valuable and that what it matters. Good luck and be careful...Your friend Liz
I actually got a phone call from a guy on here supposedly originally from Texas, working for his company in the UK when we corresponded in mail, and then transferred to Nigeria when he finally decided to phone me.
