I'm not talking about big huge honking lies like cheating, stealing or identity theft, but lets say you meet a man who you like very much and after a few weeks of dating you find out he wears lifts in his shoes that make him a few inches taller then what he really is.Would you consider this lie bad enough to dump him?

For the men....Lets say you meet an attractive lady who you are crazy about and finally you see her without makeup and on the side of her face she has a port wine stain birth mark....Would you consider this lie bad enough to dump her.

Some women wear high heels which make them appear taller until they take them off.I don't see any difference if a man chooses to wear lifts in his shoes.

Port wine stain birthmark can not wash off any more then any other kind of birth mark.It is simply called "port wine stain" due to it's deep red color.

I know it usually depends on the person and what they find important or deal breakers, but for me, a lie is a lie, blatant or by omission. I lose respect straight away.wine

Nup.... That would make her kind of special...original....
Not a reason to dump someone...
Only natural to make yourself as presentable as possible when going out...

Is this kind of stuff....the stuff that makes you distrust and lose respect for someone?

I think not...

We all know the lies and kind of deceit...that are really going to
put you off someone....

cheers

With the reasons you came up with, there's nothing shameful. As in the previous posts said, there's nothing wrong with a woman wearing high heels so there's nothing wrong with a man wearing lifts (tho it is the first time I'm hearing it, maybe it's not popular in my country)

And with the woman and port wine thing, I've learnt that you have to accept the person that you're with no matter what PHYSICAL condition they have...if you don't like it you can always walk out the door or else make a big effort into ignoring the PHYSICAL and see the beauty within :)

rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing Sorry Ginger!!! This image just pooped into my mind of a guy taking off his toupe, wedges out of his shoes, false teeth, padded y fronts and standing there while you waggle your index at him saying "a lie is a lie, I've lost all respect for you!!!"

Well I must confess........I dated a guy when I was young...here's the story.....we met in a bar, he was like 6'3"...when I met him seemed to be limping a bit...never made anything out of it.....he continued dating - he would pick me up in his car and we would drive to wherever we were going. He was gorgeous and had an awesome personality. We truly enjoyed each other's company......one day after about 3 weeks of dating - he says to me - I have something to tell you - I'm like ok - what??
He told me he was a phalitimite baby....he had no legs from his knees down.....I looked at him and said - you know what - Im not dating your legs - im dating you.....never bothered me in the least - he would take his prosthetics off and walk around - no problems.....we went on and dated for almost a year....
