Are you referring to things like the polio vaccine or the world's utter dependence on anti psychotic/anti depression drugs? I don't know that it would be none to pleasent to welcome polio and other disease back into our lives.

jac379: I think that's part of the problem, isn't it? You create vaccines and thingamyjigs to get rid of a problem, the problem mutates, possibly as a result and a new thingymajig is required.
The solution is maybe the cause of the problem. Perhaps alternative thinking is required, but would this be as profitable to the pharmaceutical companies?

Hi Jac, isn't life incredible, even at the bacterial level. When it comes under threat from out medicines it battles to survive by mutation. And the stronger the antibiotics becomes the stronger their resistance to it becomes.Will it outrun our defences ? I fear so ....
The planet could do with getting rid of a few billion of us though.

One thing I know for certain is there is mercury in the preservative that is used in the annual flu vaccine. Mercury is cumulative in the body and may cause neurological symptoms over time. It affected me and I was advised by a neurologist to avoid the flu shot. He showed me the study results that he and and other neurologists did and I'm convinced. It's been four years since I stopped getting the flu vaccine and my symptoms are gone.
