It depends on who's doing the sweet talking, exactly what he says, and if he's actually sincere.
I've had a bit of sincere sweet talking from someone I was involved with. I loved it... it's something I missed out on for way too many years with my ex.

Depending on the individual who is doing the sweet talk. You can usually tell if they are sincere about or if it is bull chit.

as far as from a man I am interested or potentially interested in? It depends on the context & how well I know him.
BUT if he is sweet talking me to get me to change my mind about something I have already said no to? I find that very annoying, and it only makes things worse.
If it comes across as false flattery- NO - I'm gone
BUT if I have known him awhile and he offers a sincere compliment that is in keeping with an appropriate level of intimacy or friendship - LOVE IT!!
but as in the first comment I made - it is not a good idea to use "sweet talking" to try to minimize or brush under the rug something bad you have done - like a forgotten phone call, date etc....

I think its complete and utter BS.
I dont believe sweet talk, nor do i want to listen to it. I'd rather have a man make a true and honest observation than dribble BS in my direction.
