I'm only going to bone you. laugh no seriously .. redclown

Monogamy is social construct. But is it a belief with real value or a belief simply for the sake of belief now? Are we just following what our ancestors laid down as 'the right way' or is there value in change?

Discuss. professor

Value in change?

Yeah!!! Depends on the stock market whether the value alters or not ...

Bit the same with partners ... some lose their value with time yet others seem to gain value. Monogamy hinges on that value or perception of it.

If monogamy stemed from social construct it would only exist in the human species.

I want one man, a faithful man to spend the rest of my life with... I love the intimacy that comes with being with only one, for me it has nothing to do with society or "the right way"... it's simply my way.

No it's like saying that if some species of animals/mamals are being monogamus instinctively without being brainwashed, conditioned or controled by society, may be humans got there also instinctively ...

hmmm I'm glad you didn't go the genetic route EW. yay

So, you're referring to something more like survival instincts?
Even survival instincts (and others) don't necessarily mean one would automatically do that, without thinking and in this case out of fear or some other emotion. cheers

Right left? do we follow? or set our sights on what is moving within the movement of the times, very gruelling times, and sweeping ancestoring times.

I think that animal species do it out of bonding which I'm not sure can be described as an emotion. I think it's beyond emotion.
Bonding has nothing to do with fear or survival instincts either. I think bonding is an energy.

Energy moves by way of what? E-motion ..energy motion .. reunion

What could be beyond, other than our higher selves (which still relates to social construct or maybe consciousness construct to begin with.) hmmm

I think all energy is emotive but that's a whole 'nother debate.wine
