Read the discussion section on the article. I think it was intended as humor.
I don't think the same can be said of this thread. Jvaski has a history of being homophobic including his, "Angry Lesbians" thread from a year or so back.
I don't think it's exactly that he is a bigot. I'd compare him more to the guy that shows up at a job interview late, unprepared and with a surly attitude then blames illegal aliens for him not having a job. The sort that can't accept accountability for results of their own actions.

It's all perception. R thought there were a lot of butch lesbians around the town I grew up in. In reality there were lots of older women that got sick of taking care of long hair and trying to look like Barbie and younger ones that just never bought into the game.

Thank the lawd that im not responsible for the way some folks minds work..i'll admit to growing my hair shoulder length a few years ago..i didnt like it that way and went back to my short style..thank you for compliments..im afraid some folks mistake my saftness for daftness.....big mistake...

Used to happen to me when I was a teacher working in the secondary. In the end I used to say to the students: "Don't confuse my kindness with stipidity because you'll only make that mistake once"
All good here. Waiting for the rainy season to stop (within next couple of weeks) so I can get my roof fixed and be able to use the bedrooms again ... Been sleeping in my front room all winter ... Mind you it had its good points, warmest room in the house coz of the fireplace ...
