Yep Lionel was from Gippsland in fact his wife Jenny taught my kids at primary school when i lived at Bunyip years ago...is a sad loss for sure....dont get me started about Mundine cant stand the guy,was good at boxing but apart from that nah cant stand himRIP Lionel Rose

Yes the man certainly had his demons thats for sure,he battled the bottle had a bad heart in earlier times had a stroke in 07 but i can tell you one thing,although he wasnt perfect and god knows who is,he was a gentleman and a good family man, he would always have time for everyoneMore Threads
