Not that I watch the X-Factor much, (honest!!), they said on tv this morning that she was dropped due to middle america not being able to understand her accent.. 
Ratings is everything there due to advertising revenue and if people start switching off, its a bad sign and those in charge keep a very sharp eye on the viewing figures.. 
I'm pretty sure Cheryl will be fine though.. may even write a book about it all..

That doesn't surprise me. Simon Cowell is an arsehole at the best of times.
It's one of the reasons i never watch these things.
In my opinion there's been a decline in the quality of tv for some time.
X Factor and any number of programmes like it are proof positive why i'm glad i have a dvd player
There is just too much 'Victim TV' these days.
People tune in to see who is getting 'booted off' and to share the embarrasment of the resulting emotional trauma.

Just heard the radio news ,apparently the u.s. couldnt understand her heavy Geordie accent .
Acunning plan by Marriati to probebly launch her into every u.s.chat show as a novelty act and get 6 million a show .

But on a serious note that wasn't nice what Simon Cowell did to pull her up so high and drop her like that,( That's if he did!)I guess he took a risk that may have backfired.
She should just lie low a while walk away and try something new away from X Factor saga I think she'll be okay but it is bad luck though!!!
