freominx: yes, must agree, it gives you a chance to vent, or ask advice and good friends can be made online. I have received so much help from online friends, just a shame that we "need" to go this route, where once friends and family interacted "in person".
There used to be a time a friend of a friend introduced you to their friends at a party, engagement or social gathering. Now it's all so informal and hit n' miss.

Toffeapple: That is a little negative Normal. You get what you want out of these sites - like meeting people out in the real world - you get all kinds, some are genuine nice people, some are users and abusers and some are cheaters. You learn who is who as you go and learn as you go, the same as meeting them at a bar or through friends.

Living via the computer in small ways is not bad, in fact it is probably good for many many people to interact in ways they otherwise wouldn't in real life.

Hope you can be more positive and reach out and challenge yourself more. If you don't try, it won't happen.
As anyone will tell you, I spend too much time on the net. There is a world outside the CS forums you know. Too bad I haven't discovered it yet.

normalguy68: I'm not sure internet dates are long term at all. People who look and see people by browsing these sites who never did before often stray into the sites they left and end up cheating or seeing other people and then you're back to square one. A lot of people make out this is their life, CS has to be or their life will cease to exist. Sad really how these things become so adictive. Personally I'd preffer to have no pc's around to waste time on so that life can be lived. Spending 24/7 online can't be good for your health.

Hang in there Normal my son met his lady on site 10 years ago and still going strong in their relationship. heart1 It can and does happen and there are peeps who just want to meet that someone special takes time. I hope I do and if not at least I've had fun especially on these forums.hug handshake grin

There seems to be big concerns about water supply yet how many here have seen others hosing down footpaths etcetera. Car washing uses up a fair bit too yet we all want to have shiney vehicles. I am totally dependant on rain I have three tanks to use for 12 months From ne wet season to the next. Ny car gets washed when I remember to park outside in the rain. The lawn goes from brown to green when it rains and the used water gets pumped onto the ground outside. I have save $$$ by not using water from different companies who supply this precious comodity. If the only incentive to install tanks is to get the Govt. rebate then I think you might as well hand over the whole of your pay to the greedy tax collectors(where have I read about taxcollectors before) There is no sharing of the wealth of the planet Time for everyone to have a good look at what we use and what we don't

How the hell would the politicians manage if we all went to a barter system No income No tax

We have had this argument before Shell.

My argument stands without including emotions.

Its a contract. A contract signed and supposedly witnessed by the ultimate being. A contract in a court of law that is supposed to be binding. But somehow never seems to be given the dues; in the same esteem it was undertaken.

If one can't keep their contract with him/her laugh then it .....

Sentence left unfinished as not initiating argument again. It is my opinion only.

But all that said. Give me the opportunity I'd do it again. Why because I believe in marriage. But I don't believe in the church or the bible. cool beer

Toffeapple: Surely not your ex?

You can block people if you want to. I have. Just go to their page. But then perhaps you have to be their friend first.

Good luck!
