From what I hear it is a bit easier if you already have a job waiting for you.

Twingles, I'm trying to move to the USA FROM Ontario and there is so much... I 've been treading water here for almost a year... It is a long and arduous process to go to the USA, I'm assuming it is the same to come to Canada.... By already having a job there helps to speed things up a little bit..... Honestly it soulnds sad but marriage is the quickest. At least in the USA if you move there and then apply for a K1 Visa you ahve 90 days to get married before they'll kick you out and then although there is more red tape you are more than half way to becoming a citizen... My guy and I DON'T want to have to do it that way. I want to be there of my own accord....

Also you have to have credit checks and medical exams ect.....and a bunch of other silly seeming things.. If you want to compare notes I'm here most days, checking in. I've come to realize that the imiigration process is so difficult so that only those who truly do want it will apply. Just think of the reason why you want citizenship (or whatever) and decide whether it is worth everything.... Good Luck and know that you definitely are NOT the only one that is frustrated and cursing to nno end here at all of this tape. comfort

I have a friend who moved to the USA from canada and she told me it took her about 3 years before she was approved to be a american citizen. Yes it is a long and stressful process which will require a lot of patience.
