lifeisadream: Unfortunately, kidnapping is still happening everywhere in Mexico.
We have to avoid:
Some roads,
Traveling late at night or very early,
Using expensive vehicles (mine is a modest one), etc…

When we travel by land, I try not to do it alone and avoid carrying bank’s cards but I can not live my life with fear yet I have to take precautions.

So, I am going swimming this weekend!

How’s the swimming in Mexico?

Here the weather was rather rainy for a couple of weeks, but yesterday we got real heat – almost +30C, and I went to the sea… Was lucky and got a parking place at once: while cruising the parking area happen to be at the right moment where someone was leaving. Was lucky at the beach as well: someone was leaving and I took their place, didn’t have to squeeze myself into the can with sardines, which this beach reminding at weekends when the weather is good.

…wasn’t that lucky in the water though… got stuck by jelly-fish twice… very discouraging indeed. sigh

While I was thinking whether or not go to the sea today, the nature solved my dilemma – it started to rain. Life is so easy when you don’t have to choose.laugh

It was ok not much of the swimming because the rivers were very high and their currents were too rapid. It was in the “Huasteca Potosina” although this time I went only to a few places Axtla, Xilitla, Aquismón and Valles, all of them in the San Luis Potosí State I did post a few pictures a the What a wonderful world thread and you can see more in my picture gallery that you know about.

The falls at “Tamul” I could not even enter to that great place it was closed because of safety reasons because of the high waters but that is a must to see and enjoy!!!

Too bad that you could not go swimming. That rain send it over here, we need it.

Pleasant to hear that someone else in Europe, not only me, enjoys the summer. The end of July and the beginning of August were also very warm here. I went to the sea twice in one week, and on both occasions caught the time when the breeze turns – then it’s almost wind-still (very unusual for Gothenburg) and the surface of the water shimmer as a mirror. A very lovely hour of a day. daydream

…but then it was raining for a week, and now, though shiny, but cold…

sigh
