I think that it is a far better idea to engage oneself in the forums. With input there, others can get a sense of your personality. L.
The only thing it does is bring attention to the person, and then it may appear tasteful or just plain distasteful depending on the eye of the beholder.
I agree...it is very seldom that i will attempt any contact with someone "totally out of the blue"...rather my contacts have moreso been with people i see posting in the forums (both men and women) because it gives me an idea about their thought patterns, their values...and their personality...
We are mostly all here for the same reason Mychelle...this is a dating site...so i would find someone who is pressing their point by starting a thread to expound on their virtues (being sarcastic here) is in poor taste...
