Perhaps you could reword your response with a more polite version of "not my type" Ladefoss 23
you know... something like: " appreciate the compliment but not interested thank you... best wishes in your search though as we all deserve to be happy".
Rejection is the key ingredient to any kind of pain and getting the same message across by rewording your response may soften the blow.
