For me it is a tight race between to amazing albums.

The winner being Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon
Runner up is The Beatles with Sgt. Pepper

In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine ranked Forever Changes 40th in its list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. It has also been chosen one of the all-time greatest rock albums by several other prominent publications. In addition, the album was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2008.

Wiki

Not bad for an album most people have never heard of.

R.I.P Arthur Lee...sad flower

Yeah that was one of those albums where every song on it was a hit, very rare.

It certainly is...a timeless masterpiece...thumbs up

Arthur Lee influenced many bands right up to the present day. Falsely accused of firearm offenses and sentenced to twelve years prison in 1996, Lee was released in 2001 after a federal appeals court in California reversed the charge of negligent discharge of a firearm, as it found that the prosecutor at Lee's trial was guilty of misconduct.
Lee then went on to pick his career up with a string of live performances.
He died in 2006 after a long battle with cancer.

Here he is at Glastonbury 2003 with another fine song from Forever Changes.

Would have to agree with you Blarney on your list, except I would insert "Police, Synchronicity" for Bat out of Hell.

For me, it's a toss-up: Sergeant Pepper or Revolver. In either case, for me, it's all about The Beatles.

Its because they were the best band ever. Much of what you hear today has its roots in they styles/ experimentation and quality of what they produced

yet without american bluesmen, they would have been nothing at all...by your comment, muddy waters would be the single best musician ever
