There are some fathers who don't take responsibility for their children.
There are some women who feel the same about not dating men who have children.
So it's not just the men catching the heat.

I think its a little sad to rule out the possibility of a relationship with anyone because they have a child, that applies to both genders.
In alot of cases the natural father/mother are part of a child's life, once the relationship is over and that to me thats how it should be when possible. Because a child is part of a persons life doesn't mean they can't go on to have a relationship with another partner.
End of the day its down to choice, women/men with children aren't always looking for a replacement parent. jmo

I think if a person does not want someone with children it is best to lay your cards on the table for all to see. It is not just females many men come with children too. And I can assure you I would want to know if a man felt that children were not what he wanted. It would save everyone alot of bs. Thank you for the honesty and the appropiate individual is some one who loves the child.

I've gotten myself chewed out a couple of times for having an opinion about this, which I don't think is quite cricket, either. Not everyone wants a nuclear family, and not everyone wants a lifestyle that includes kids. We are not all cut from the same cloth, and if a man wants to find a woman to be with, marry, but does not want kids, either his own or adoptive, etc... is that not his right? It doesn't mean he doesn't like kids, or think negatively of them, but not everybody wants that, and I think that's OK if they don't. It is unfair to find fault with someone just because he knows what he wants. Fair enough?------ This thread is Archived ------
