PHOENIX? you mean there is actually a book about our favourite France based CS member?
I just read a non-fiction book by a guy called Marc Headley called 'Blown for Good'. It's about his life in the 'Church' of Scientology since childhood and the human rights abuses and sheer cruelty that went on in there. Although I never looked into it, I always assumed that Scientology was just a harmless (if slightly eccentric at worst) new age religion that Hollywood celebrities practiced. However, after reading about Marc Headley's life and eventual escape from the 'Church', it actually displays all the characteristics of a dangerous cult rather than the contemporary religion that it claims to be. It's a must read in my opinion.
most recent one i read was james pattersons the murder of king tut, great book and i read it in a day and a half just couldnt put it down. went to the king tut exhibition in the RDS after and it made it even better. in general i read james patterson, jeffery dever and jonothan kellerman amongst others, love crime/thriller type books

My most recent read was Roger Moore's autobiography 'MY WORD IS MY BOND' quite an interesting book . ERROR OF JUDGEMENT by Chris Mullen about the Birmingham six is a rivetting read , one can almost feel the beatings they got and hear the screams . The next book I get will almost certainly be THE GOVERNOR by John Lonergan .
