It is not a secret or a mystery why the General Synod are fretting over whether or not to allow women bishops. Personally, I say why not, as this no doubt would greatly benefit mankind and society in general. Considering the high number of qualified and capable women who have become leaders of nations and also CEOs of multinational companies, it's difficult to understand how anyone can deny women the opportunity to serve God as priests and bishops.

Clerics in the different churches who continue to warn for sometime, of ' storm clouds on the horizon ' over the issue, may feel justified on the basis of long tradition, but there are many in the church who know full well that religious traditions have been created and fostered by men, not by God.

I quote St. Paul's letter to Timothy and Titus, stating that the bishop must be ' the husband of one wife '. Surely, this rules out all the the Roman Catholic Church's celibate clergy, including the Pope. It also rules out the bishops of the Orthodox Churches who, although they have married parish clergy, normally choose their bishops from monastic orders which are celibate. On this basis, the Church of England and it's Anglican community, is the only denominations with valid bishops, HOW BIZARRE ... HOW BIZARRE !!

When I worship God and Christ, it's because they represent divine love, without prejudice or traditional dogma. No man has yet, to my knowledge, demonstated similar compassion for all living things.

What is your opinion on this mess ???
