New Brunswick is very beautiful province. I would hope that Gov. would listen to the thoughts and wants of the people before implimenting this. To me sounds like a process that needs to meet more stringent saftey rules. Like always, things never will go back to thier natural beauty after the damsge has been done. Good Luck- New Brunswick!!

The two biggest problems with trying to curtail hydraulic fracturing are the large multi-national oil companies and the government of New Brunswick itself in its efforts to stimulate the economy and fill the coffers of the province.

For every scientific document that the "nay" side puts forward, the multi-nationals will put forth two that have been generated by their scientists,...and the government will try and appease both sides,....but forming commissions to "seriously" study the situation. And legislation to "regulate" the activities will come into effect. And if, by some chance the "nay" side begins to win favour, the MN's will state they have now developed new technology to address those concerns,...and on the battles will rage,...and the oil and gas will keep flowing,...

I can speak from experience,...I am a regulator in a province that does a little oil and gas drilling, and a bit of fracturing, of course the coal bed methane is being produced, and there are a couple of little holes in the northern oilsands, and the pipelines, and in-situ plants, and upgraders, and,...we have both sides arguing here also!! And here, the people themselves are also divided,..environment versus economy.

I don't what the correct answer is, but I do know that once the extraction of any resource begins, it is VERY difficult to control let alone curtail. But I do know, that if one remains silent, one will never be heard.

Nothing will ever change, until the Conservatives are out of office, so basically, never.laugh
